Mahkamah tolak rayuan PSM

Mahkamah Tinggi Pulau Pinang hari ini menolak rayuan 30 ahli PSM yang ditahan pada 25 Jun di Plaza Tol Sungai Dua, Pulau Pinang semasa berkempen "Udahla tu, Bersarala". Mahkamah memutuskan tahanan 30 aktivis PSM terus direman sehingga 7 2 Julai untuk penyiasatan lanjut oleh pihak polis.

30 aktivis PSM yang sedang menghadapi tuduhan dibawah Akta Hasutan, Akta Penerbitan dan Percetakan dan Akta 122 telah dikaitkan dengan percubaan untuk menghidupkan balik ideologi komunisme dan menentang istitusi raja di negara ini.

Sebaliknya, PSM menolak tuduhan tersebut dengan sekeras-kerasnya.

Local thugs threatened PSM

On June 28, 2011 more than 200 local thugs from Kepala Batas flooded IPD Kepala Batas to demand 40 PSM members and families of detainess to vacate the area immediately.

To avoid tense situation, PSM supporters and family members of 30 detainees dispersed, and later escorted by several PAS members to Markas PAS Negeri to stay for the night.

Working class MP Dr.Jayakumar with 30 PSM activists nabbed!

31 PSM activists including Member of Parliament of Sungai Siput Dr. Michael Jayakumar Devaraj was arrested in Sungai Dua, Penang on 25th June,2011. They were detained while promoting PSM's "Udahla tu... Bersarala" campaign which was directed at Barisan Nasional.

They were detained under three charges- illegal assembly, sedition and for publishing pamphlets and leaflets against the Printing and Publications Act.

Thirty of them have been remanded for seven days by the Butterworth Magistrate's Court while 16-year-old S Ragu has been released unconditionally.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Party's National Advisor Mr.N Ganesan mocked the government's way of handling the public and called for immediate release of the detained PSM members.

Never ending fiasco for Indian students

17th June, 2011, Hindraf/HRP led by Natinal Advisor Mr.N.Ganesan accompanied by Hindraf activists K.Maran, Kanagasundaram, Shanker and Subramaniam lodged five (5) police reports at the IPD Timur Laut, Penang Police Headquarters against Prime Minister Najib, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin & Higher Education Minister Nazri on PSD scholarships denied to Indian poor top students.
